I had the most stressful dream last night. I wanted to print out my final projects and the clock said it was already 10pm so basically everywhere was closed. Then we found a place that was open and I finally convinced my dad to drive me there in the middle of the night. So I went to get my files and all the labels (idk what they are called the .jpeg and so on) had been changed so files were saved as movie formats and when I opened them the pages were just this really gross teal colour (like the old windows 95 colours) and all pixel-y. So I was having major panic attacks and didn't know what to do. So I manually changed the label..names, to what they should be and hoped that would work. I opened up the files and all the colours were inverted?!

Then I woke up and immediately went to check my files and much to my relief they were normal. I still have ...post-anxiety from this dream.
I really need to study for this english exam...which is tomorrow.

I'm writing this post and it's 6:15 am , printing out 20 draft ticket designs. While I wait, here are two paintings from my class. Everything is acrylic and large. I've never painted so big before, 3x4 feet and 2x3 feet respectively. It was really fun carting them around on the bus.

A crazy still life my teacher set up, it's a stool and a lot of shit piled around it and on top of it, we only had to paint a section. Then change the colours and whatever to fit a certain mood, you can guess mine.. yeah.

More... still life, we had to choose commercial products paint them, then do a second painting mimicking the colour and composistion, while having some sort of ~message~. I had a fun time with iridescence and gloss.

I have my tentative selections for my final 3 posters. For the project each is supposed to represent the festival representationally, abstractly and symbolically. We also have to make corresponding tickets for each of them, but I've only gotten one started so far...
I did end up going with the poster from before, the blurry eye becuase my prof and my classmates insisted that it was the best one ahdkajsh. I spent a max of 5 minutes putting it together, it feels so cheap haha (I do like it though).

symbolic (Is it? I don't know, but it will be becuase I have another one for representational) I'm still apprehensive about using my own illustration.

Posters for a campaign thing... for my communication design class. We have to do three posters, tickets and booklet for a festival. The festival I chose is called rendezvous with madness, and since it's in Canada I have to make it bilingual (gross). It's a film festival and the films all deal with mental illness and addiction. These are kind of rough...concepts, lots of refinement needed. I'm partial to the blurry eye one.

RGB conversion made it super bright...

Also!! I got new glasses and a scarf, fashion queen. It's not like anyone who watches this lj knew what my old glasses looked like (unless they remember any old..old pictures I posted somewhere)

ugh i keep procrastinating...I really don't want to do a presentation on nutrition and child poverty. I hate when profs make you do design projects on global issues.

What did you expect, an actual novel. The closest book I actually had was called Hand Job and on page 56 there was just a nice poster, so I went with the second closest book. My dad is always making fun of me for this haha, I bought a magazine called CMYK and it features students and professionals work that has been selected (sort of like a contest...then your stuff gets published in the magazine) ANYWAY, he's just like...wow, you're such a geek, and he's right.

I really want my summer course to start! Typeface design yeah! Other then that, I'm extremely bored so, if you're somewhat bored also, ask me any question about/to my characters OR ask me... anything, I'll try and give you my best answer??

I wish I had a scanner that worked, mines blurs the edges of everything, so I use my camera and stuff looks weird because they all end up being taken at slight angles. Here's some sketches and one poster design. I'm sorry some of these are Phoenix Wright crap, I just finished playing the third one and Apollo whatever.

For my mom's school's fair thing... The letters are all hand-done. It's really kitschy looking

61. Describe their past: I will try and keep it short. 4 along with other babies are created to test a new type of drug. The drug is a flop and has to be kept undercovers. Therefore 4 and others are kept in this huge medical/druf-testing/laboratory/center with limited access to the outside world. He grows up with a huge interest in the outside worlds and re-reads magazines about fashion, technology and whatever else (these magazines are old and not very representational about how earth is now but whatever). He always second guessed himself when he was younger but kinda grew out of that!

62. How was their family life?: N-non-existent. However, he formed a small clique with other subjects and they are the cool kids.

63. Are they happy now? Why?: For the most part. He's still wants to know more about his circumstances and not knowing makes him aaangsty : ( :(

Yeeeah, interesting week! Spent most of it in the hospital after having an emergency operation to remove my ruptured appendix. Came home, broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years and celebrated my birthday today! I've been playing Professor Layton: Curious Village (whatever the full name is) and Rhythm Heaven, much fun. Ohh, I missed my exam and my professor doesn't care, he's like "I'll arrange something when I have time and when you have time". Haha, it was strange, he said I had to go all the way downtown to write it as his "office". I asked if he could arrange for me to do it at school...

Anyway, I had to get that all out, it's been a pretty uh- interesting week. Happy Earth Day? I wanted to plant a garden this weekend but it'll have to wait, how was your week?

Yeah! Got my paypal... I want to do commissions but I don't know what I'd offer.. busts, full body, both? something..else. Or how much I would charge, or more importantly if anyone would be interested. I'd like to know what people would want to pay for, becuase I believe I have quite a few "styles/genres" that I draw in, and I dunno what people would expect from me. I should probably ask on dA also

CSS and HTML coding is like being in math class again. Where I didn't know the answer and had to play around with stuff until it worked, meaning extremely annoying and frustrating. HOWEVER, when I do finally get the stuff figured out it's like a light shines down from the heavens onto my computer screen because i FINALLY got it. Then within the next minute something else isn't working.

So the point of that was, to show you this horrible looking meme I did, i stole it from Azurice. I needed a break from coding this is the result.

Also, a finished project for class. It's a type specimen, just 2 of the spreads and the cover becuase the others are boring and not as interesting to look at.

Design stuff today, the collages are from last year and I just really like them. I should collage more..but it requires extra labour on my part. The other is a poster for an imaginary event for class. The actual size of the poster is 18x24 inches. I should take some of those cool photos were you hold up your work and take a picture...yeah.
